Increasing number of ubiquitous mobile devices in daily routine encourages software design adaptations. Hardware/software independence; minimized end user efforts to maintain the compatibility of their preferred devices with the software systems are very important properties in the rapidly updating technological world. As a support for this claim; a concept of service based surgical telementoring system is presented and illustrated byaprototypical implementation. It proves the fact that technological progress is reaching the level allowing the redesign of telementoringsystems to be provided as a service in a hospital’s network; using only web browser as a client.
