Addresses to be used in publications for researchers at the Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences and at Region Östergötland

In order for the Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences at Linköping University and the medical research related to Region Östergötland and the South-East Healthcare Region to obtain the right level of state funding, the correct affilations for scientific publication is required.

It is important that "Linköping University" is visible in the address field. "Linköping University Hospital" must not be used.

For Researchers Only Affiliated with Linköping University

Department, University, City, Country

Example: Department of Biomedical and Clinical Sciences, Linköping University, Linköping, Sweden

For Researchers Affiliated with Region Östergötland

Clinical Department, and University Department, University, City, Country

Example: Department of Cardiology in Linköping, and Department of Health, Medicine and Caring Sciences, Linköping University, Linköping, Sweden

For Researchers Outside Region Östergötland but Affiliated with Linköping University

Hospital Clinic, County Council/Region, and University Department, University, City, Country
Example. Department of Cardiology in Västervik, Kalmar County Council, and Department of Health, Medicine and Caring Sciences, Linköping University, Linköping, Sweden

For Researchers also Affiliated with a Centre

Make sure to include “Linköping University" in both addresses.

Example:

1. Department of Radiology in Linköping, and Department of Health, Medicine and Caring Sciences, Linköping University, Linköping, Sweden
2. Centre for Medical Image Science and Visualization (CMIV), Linköping University, Linköping Sweden

Affiliation in DiVA

When registering a publication in DiVA your affiliation should be registered to reflect your complete internal affiliation at LiU (and Region Östergötland, if relevant). In most cases this will be more complete that the affiliation you specify on a publication. In DiVA, affiliation is chosen from a fixed list. In DiVA you specify a LiU division (avdelning - which is automatically coupled to a department), a faculty, an clinic at Region Östergötland (which is automatically coupled to the relevant centre at Region Östergötland) and a research centre. The example below is for a researcher at CMIV, who is double affiliated LiU/Region Östergötland:
