Mission statement
Linköping University Electronic Press (LiU E-Press) is a non-for-profit Open Access publisher. We host a dozen academic journals and a number of databases, we are the publisher of conference proceedings, dissertations and other publications from Linköping University (LiU).
All journals published by LiU E-Press are Open Access, meaning that they are freely available online. Several of these journals have been active for more than a decade and most of them are indexed in high-quality databases and directories such as Scopus, DOAJ and the Norwegian list. We also publish conference proceedings with a connection to LiU.
We are also hosting a number of databases, primarily containing historical data.
In the institutional repository and publishing plattform DiVA, we publish dissertations, student theses, e-books and working papers in our different series. DiVA is also used for registration of publications by LiU researchers and for parallel publishing of articles previously published in subscription-based journals.
All authors publishing with LiU E-Press retain the copyright of their work and their publications are given Creative Commons licenses. LiU E-Press does not charge any publication fees.
LiU E-Press is a part of Linköping University Library, and the Board of the Library is its decision-making body.
In summary, our mission is to:
- offer employees and students at LiU permanent publishing of therir work
- provide a portal to the collected research from LiU and be responsible for the publication platforms such as DiVA and OJS
- offer LiU researchers to perform plagiarism checks of scintific publications
- provide LiU with bibliometric analyzes of the content in the plattforms
- support LiU researchers with knowledge in research communication
- offer web services for LiU researchers that will facilitate their work with for example publication registration, parallel publishing and creation of data management plans.
